Vanilla Bean Syrup
- Combine sugar, water, and vanilla bean (or extract) in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely. If using a whole vanilla bean, remove it before cooling. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Sugar Cookie Martini
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vodka, vanilla bean syrup, and heavy cream to the shaker.
- Close the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.
- Strain into a chilled martini glass. Sprinkle with a pinch of ground cinnamon and garnish with sugar cookie crumbs (optional).
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a stronger cinnamon flavor, add a cinnamon stick to the syrup while simmering. Adjust the amount of heavy cream to control the richness of the martini. You can also rim the glass with sugar for extra sweetness.
