Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 Large Cantaloupe
  • 1 Small Honeydew Melon
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • 1 cup Blackberries
  • 1 cup Green Grapes
  • 1 Orange
  • 1 Kiwi
  • Optional Chocolate Chips
  • Optional Yogurt or Whipped Cream

Equipment

  • Melon baller (or small spoon)
  • Small knife
  • Toothpicks (optional)
  • Plating platter

Method

Instructions
  1. Cut the cantaloupe and honeydew melons in half and remove seeds. Scoop out melon balls using a melon baller or small spoon.
  2. Arrange cantaloupe balls on a platter. Use a knife or toothpick to create two small dots for eyes on each ball – these are your friendly ghosts!
  3. Cut the orange into wedges. Carve simple pumpkin faces into the orange wedges using a small knife.
  4. Arrange blueberries, blackberries, and green grapes around the ghosts and pumpkins to create a spooky landscape.
  5. Peel the kiwi and slice it into thin rounds or stars. Arrange them on the platter as desired.
  6. Optional: Add chocolate chips for extra detail on the ghosts or pumpkins. A dollop of yogurt or whipped cream adds a festive touch.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your spooky fruit platter!

Notes

For younger children, consider using less sharp tools for carving the faces. You can also use other fruits like strawberries or raspberries to add variety.
