- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your muffin tin by lining it with paper liners or lightly greasing it with cooking spray.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Set this bowl aside.
- Step 3: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and packed brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Step 4: Add molasses and eggs to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until well combined.
- Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Start and end with dry ingredients.
- Step 6: Divide the muffin batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Step 7: Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Step 8: Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Step 9: Drizzle the glaze over the cooled muffins and allow it to set before serving.
