  • 1.5 cups Pecan halves

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.25 cup Melted unsalted butter

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Stir in pecan halves.
  4. Pour the pecan filling into the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cobbler topping evenly over the pecan filling.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to the filling. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
