- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine grated zucchini, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Step 5: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the zucchini mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Step 6: If desired, fold in the chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
- Step 7: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Step 8: Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Step 9: Once baked, remove the loaf from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Store the bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months.
