  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • Grated Parmesan cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Step 1: In your medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat, keeping an eye on it to ensure it doesn't brown.
  2. Step 2: Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
  3. Step 3: Stir in the lemon zest and lemon juice, then season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Step 4: Allow the sauce to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  5. Step 5: Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.

Notes

This sauce can easily be made vegan by substituting butter with olive oil or vegan butter. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
