- Step 1: In a large bowl, mix together the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Step 2: Next, fold in the frozen hash browns, chopped onion, and shredded cheddar cheese. Ensure that all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
- Step 3: Grease the inside of your crock pot with cooking spray or a little butter.
- Step 4: Pour the combined hash brown mixture into the crock pot. Use a spatula to spread it evenly.
- Step 5: Cover the crock pot and choose your cooking setting. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Step 6: Once cooked, carefully uncover the crock pot and scoop out the casserole while it’s still warm.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and can be reheated in the microwave or oven.
