- Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a double boiler or heat-safe bowl set over a pan of simmering water, melt the white chocolate chips and butter, stirring occasionally until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
- If using, stir in the chopped pecans (or other mix-ins) now.
- Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until firm.
- Once firm, lift the fudge out of the dish using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into small squares and serve.
Notes
For extra richness, use high-quality white chocolate. Store leftover fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
