Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to melted butter; cook 1 minute, until fragrant. Do not burn.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat; stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper. Add drained pasta to skillet; toss to coat.
- If sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Garnish with parsley (optional) and serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a combination of Parmesan and Romano cheese. Add some red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
