Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Fettuccine pasta
  • 6 tablespoons Butter
  • 8 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley chopped, optional
  • To Salt taste
  • To Black pepper taste

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic to melted butter; cook 1 minute, until fragrant. Do not burn.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat; stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Season with salt and pepper. Add drained pasta to skillet; toss to coat.
  6. If sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Garnish with parsley (optional) and serve immediately.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use a combination of Parmesan and Romano cheese. Add some red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
