- Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Step 2: In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Step 3: Stir in orzo pasta and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Step 4: Pour in vegetable or chicken broth and heavy cream. Add salt, black pepper, and dried Italian herbs. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
- Step 5: Once simmering, remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until fully combined.
- Step 6: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.
- Step 7: Let the orzo sit for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
