  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter cubed

  • Fresh chives chopped

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Step 2: In a large saucepan, combine the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  3. Step 3: Grease your 9x13 inch baking dish with a bit of butter. Begin layering half of the sliced potatoes in the dish, ensuring they're spread out evenly. Then, pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  4. Step 4: Repeat the process with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
  5. Step 5: Dot the top layer with the cubed unsalted butter.
  6. Step 6: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Step 7: After 45 minutes, carefully remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes.
  8. Step 8: Once the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped chives before serving.
