  • 1 pint Cherry or Grape Tomatoes
  • 8 ounces Fresh Mozzarella Balls (Bocconcini) Small size
  • 10 leaves Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze
  • 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper or to taste
  • 8-10 Wooden Skewers Soak in water for 30 minutes before use

Method
 

Instructions
  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Thread one cherry tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf onto each skewer. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  3. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil.
  5. Drizzle the balsamic glaze mixture evenly over the Caprese skewers.
  6. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately for the best flavor, or chill for later. Enjoy!

Notes

For a variation, add a small cube of fresh prosciutto or salami to each skewer for a heartier appetizer. You can also use different types of tomatoes, such as heirloom tomatoes, for added visual appeal and flavor.
