- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread one cherry tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf onto each skewer. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Arrange the skewers on a serving platter.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic glaze and extra virgin olive oil.
- Drizzle the balsamic glaze mixture evenly over the Caprese skewers.
- Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Notes
For a variation, add a small cube of fresh prosciutto or salami to each skewer for a heartier appetizer. You can also use different types of tomatoes, such as heirloom tomatoes, for added visual appeal and flavor.
