- In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, cranberry sauce, and diced apple. Gently toss to combine.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, and celery seed.
- Season the dressing with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust seasonings as needed.
- Pour the dressing over the coleslaw mixture.
- Gently toss the coleslaw to ensure all ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. For best results, chill for at least 1 hour.
- Serve chilled. Garnish with extra chopped apple or a sprinkle of chopped pecans (optional).
Notes
For a sweeter coleslaw, increase the sugar to 3 tablespoons. You can also add toasted pecans or walnuts for added crunch and flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
